Sahara, a peer-led organization, is dedicated to fostering healthy behaviors, confidence, and overall well-being. Established in 1978, Sahara initially functioned as a live-in rehabilitation center for individuals with drug problems but has since expanded to welcome HIV/AIDS patients as well.

Many of Sahara's counselors are former drug users and sex workers who deeply understand the needs of the patients.
