HIV infection is entirely preventable through effective awareness-raising. Raising awareness about its occurrence and spread is crucial for protecting people from the epidemic. Such awareness efforts lead to behavior change and promote prevention. The program aims to reach 80% of high-risk groups and 95% of young people. Awareness camps are conducted on topics such as TB, smoking, and general health and fitness in colleges, community centers, and other public places.

Support a child’s education by providing uniforms, school supplies, and nutrition to those who have dropped out of school, have never been enrolled, or are at high risk of dropping out. Many of the children registered with Sahara are partial orphans, with 60% being HIV-positive. Sahara assists these families by admitting children to hostels and orphanages and offering treatment follow-up, care, and support.

Your donations will help families with procuring necessary documents, such as below-poverty-line certificates, enrolling them in social and economic welfare schemes, and providing family counseling.

Sahara Aalhad operates a 15-bed Care Home equipped with a panel of specialists, including a pulmonologist, psychiatrist, physiotherapist, clinical psychologist, clinical dietitian, and general physician. More than 80% of our clients lack running water, live in cramped conditions with 4-6 individuals in a single small room, and face poor ventilation as cooking is done in these confined spaces.

We have around 1,000 widows and orphaned children registered with us. Often, when a mother falls gravely ill, there is no one available to care for her or her children, especially as she must continue working to support her family. In such cases, the family is admitted to our Care Home. There, we provide quality treatment, care, and support, enabling the mother to recover and return to her daily life as quickly as possible.
